ECG Interpretation
For anyone who wants to gain basic knowledge about the ECG
Description of training
The electrocardiogram (ECG) has long been the cornerstone of cardiac diagnostics. Since Willem Einthoven was awarded the Nobel Prize for it in 1924, it has become a fixture within cardiac diagnostics and is a robust and safe examination in which an enormous amount of information is obtained about the function and dysfunction of cardiac conduction and the presence of arrhythmias.
The Hartis Academy offers this training for anyone starting out within cardiology who wants to gain knowledge about the ECG. We go into physiology and the creation of a stimulus. How does conduction through the heart work and is it visualized on the ECG? What parts does the ECG consist of and why are they relevant? In addition, we will discuss common rhythm and conduction disorders and explain the cause of these abnormalities. At the end of the day you will have a good basis for further training in the more complex ECG abnormalities.
